Cute Holloween Costumes for Kids

I know that most of you are starting to think of the cutest Holloween costumes for your kids.  In just a few weeks, kids will knock on household doors and shout 'Trick or treat?'.  Of course, we all want our kids to be the cutest kid on the block.  Although, trick or treat is not that popular here in the Philippines, I am planning to dress my kid a costume on Holloween.  Here are some of the coolest costumes I have found for boys and girls.

Of course, Woody and Jesse of Toy Story are first, they are my son's favorite.  Get Woody for $24.99, Jesse is $26.99.

Wall-E costume, $35.99.  Bumble bee costume, $24.99.

Monster, $49.99.  Lobster, $54.99.

Interior Design Options for Christmas

I saw the catalog of Our Home in SM for their interior design options for Christmas.  They featured at least four color schemes but I especially love these two:

My favorite color is blue and this living room design is what I have been trying to achieve in my own living room.  I love the cream sofa and dark wood furniture on blue wall.  It is so refreshing to look at.  I can just remove the Christmas decors and it still looks great for the Summer.

Purple is a luxurious color and I like that even after the Yuletide season it would still look great for living rooms.

Charice on Glee!

This gave me goosebumps.

Glee has an exchange student from the Philippines named Sunshine Corazon and  Rachel is not so happy about her singing.

I am going to download Charice and Lea's version of Telephone, like, right now!

Wire Organizer

Why didn't I think of that?

Squeezing Juice

Hang in there.  I will try to extract more juice from my brain so that I will have some interesting topics to write.  I will be back in a jiffy.

Ladies and Gentlemen: The Penis Pants

Honestly, would you wear these pants?

Photo from here.

Who would want to see pants with uncircumcised penis?  Thank goodness for that headpiece, the model's face is a bit hidden.  I told you, it is really hard to be a model.  I showed this photo to my friends and they all had the same reaction as mine--they all cried laughing.  And they all started to make really wild stories about these pants.

I was thinking, maybe Isabel Mastache wants the world to know that men have this protruding thing on their body called penis and that they need to be recognized in the world of fashion.

She surely made her mark in the avant-garde division. B-R-A-V-O!

It Is Hard To Be A Model

When I was a kid, I used to dream of becoming a model because they always look so glamorous in glossy magazines and they get to wear the most expensive clothes.  That's what I believed until I grow up and learned that being a model is not at all that easy.

Photo from here.

Designers, companies and agencies pay their price if they make everything believable to the consumer's eyes.  Models make us believe that what they are wearing are the latest and most chic clothing in town.  When you see a model wearing something like the one above, you will just realize that being a model is one of the hardest jobs.  I don't think that this model is happy and proud with what she's wearing... but who is she to complain, she's being be paid to make believable the unbelievable, to make the ugliest the most beautiful.

Genetically Engineered Fish for Dinner

This super salmon is making the news.  A Massachusetts company wants this genetically engineered salmon to be sold in the market and if ever FDA approves that this is safe, it would be the first modified animal to be served on dinner plates.

AquaBounty says that the Atlantic salmon is not cloned but modified by adding growth hormone from a Chinook salmon and it is kept active by using another gene from an ocean pout.

What do you think?

Stars Who Never Seem To Grow Up

What do Lindsay and Paris have in common?

Aside from the fact that they earn millions, they both seem to never grow up.  I am actually sick and tired of the news that once again Lindsay failed her drug test and that Paris was again busted for drugs.  I mean, how many more trials will they have to attend for them to learn from their mistakes?

The two desperately need professional help and they both need to be locked up in a room without their worldly possessions.

The two are proofs that all the money in the world can't buy happiness and contentment.

I remember Barbara Walter's interview with Paris years ago and she said that someday she wants to have her own family.  I wonder when will that happen.     Lindsay used to be a straight A student and now she's turned into a straight A train wreck.

I just hope that these two will return to their sanity, it is a shame because teenagers idolize them.  And idolizing a frequent law breaker is not at all a good thing.

Shifting Gears

My mom said I can go wherever I wanted to go, I am the driver of my life anyway.  But there are some things she wants me to remember while driving--to pull over and check the map from time to time, to always focus on the road, to be alert at all times so that I can hit the break the right moment and to shift gears when necessary.

I am now shifting gears.

Take Me With You Oprah!

Oprah surprised her studio audiences (as usual) with the most unexpected gift... a trip to Australia for 7 days!  I always dreamed of watching the Oprah Show, I just love her... she inspires me to excel in everything that I do and return the favor to the people who have helped me in my journey.

Oprah, if by any chance you will read this (your staffs, too), please take me with you!  I hate to see your show end without me watching you live in your studio.

This Is Just One of Those Days

I'm so sad and I feel blue,
I don't know what I should do,
This just hasn't been my day.

I just wish someone would care,
Anyone from anywhere,
And chase my blues away.

That is not my composition, it was sung by BJ when Barney and the other kids forgot to draw him and said it was a picture of all their friends playing baseball.  Obviously, BJ was hurt and walked out of the Kabooz.

This is just one of those days.  I had expected a lot of happy things to happen today but, well, none of those things happened.

Cute Ballet Flats

I am trying to stay away from high heeled shoes because of severe backache and my plantar fasciitis so I am looking for cute flats as alternative footwear.  I have found these Christian Siriano 'Royalty' ballet flats that are so cute and I am already thinking of wearing this with leggings and tunic--a la Audrey Hepburn. You can buy these at Payless for $34.99.

Colorful Mess

This is what I have to deal with after every playtime.  This colorful mess is from my son's favorite toys--Bob the Builder characters, Thomas the Tank Engine and friends, motorcycles and all sorts of animals.  I tried to get rid of some railways but my son notices he's losing some of them.

This is what he does during playtime--he lines up all the vehicles and pretend they are racing.

Green Day: 21 Guns

I noticed that my cousin has a new cellphone so I immediately checked out its specs.  It was a Samsung Corby, the one that I was supposed to buy if Monte is not available after one week.  Anyway, I asked her what are the songs in her phone... there are plenty.  I chose Green Day's Twenty-One Guns for her to send me via bluetooth.  I am kinda late when it comes to downloading songs, forgive me, but it is better to be late than sorry.  Here is the song.

90210

Today is September 2, 2010 or 9-02-10 which coincidentally can also stand for the popular hit teen series during the 90s--Beverly Hills 90210.

 Photo from here.

I was only 8 years old then when Brandon, Brenda, Kelly, Dylan, Steve, Andrea, Donna, David and Valerie invaded our television sets and since then everyone, including my then 11-year old sister, went gaga over the 'it' gang of Beverly Hills High.

Our Aunts were already living in the US when it all began and we would have regular supply of 90210 goodies--from pencils to posters--that we proudly show off to our friends.  Yes, you bet, Brandon was my favorite while my sister crushes on Dylan.  The biggest poster that our Aunt managed to send us was a face shot of Brandon that we hung in our room, it was purposely placed to where it would be the first that we will see each time we wake up.

I could not imagine why an 8-year old kid such as I would watch such a rather adult genre show.  Nevertheless, the TV show made my childhood a lot more memorable.  I could still remember the giggles each time the camera focuses on our crush.

Big Foot

That is my son's foot.  He wears size 28 shoes and size 12 slippers.  I am not amazed why at age two he already has big feet--I am a size 39 and his dad is size 42. You see, it runs in the family.

Farmville

Aside from keeping updated of my friends' lives, my time internet time is usually consumed by plowing, seeding and harvesting crops in my very own farm in Farmville.  I am not yet a dedicated farmer.  I am the lamest and laziest farm neighbor that you could ever have because I seldom (almost never) send gifts or share my crops.
